The building at 100 Taranaki Street/1 Ghuznee Street, once a bar, restaurant, and brewery, presented a unique challenge for transforming it into a modern office. Catalyst preserved the building's distinctive character while creating a functional and inspiring office environment that aligned with EDMI's brand.

JBWere, a leading financial management firm with offices in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, engaged Catalyst to reimagine their Wellington workspace. As a client-focused organisation, JBWere sought a refurbishment that would enhance collaboration while improving acoustic privacy. Their existing office no longer aligned with their evolving needs, prompting a thoughtful redesign to create a more functional and engaging environment.

This project provided unique and exciting challenges and the result is one that both Catalyst and The Department of Internal Affairs are proud of.

Located in one of Auckland's most premium CBD office towers, Catalyst worked with the Hobson Leavy team to maximise their new 300sqm space.

This project, a collaboration between Catalyst and two other firms was awarded 'Best Government Project' by the 'Project Management Institute' in 2019. It was also a finalist for the NZIOB 'Collaboration Award' in the same year.

Catalyst teamed up with Department of Corrections to refurbish their national office in Wellington, providing comprehensive design services for the 14-floor building across 12,500m2.
