Catalyst Group Supports the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust

Catalyst is proud to support the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust (ARHT) , an organisation that holds a special place in our hearts. Our team members have personally experienced the incredible work of ARHT and the loved ones they have helped.

Last year, ARHT conducted a record-breaking 1,115 rescue missions, marking nine years of unparalleled operational availability.

Established in 1970, ARHT was the first civilian aero-medical operation of its kind in the world. Today, they operate two fully dedicated Auckland & Coromandel Westpac Rescue Helicopters, a rapid response vehicle, and a team of highly skilled and experienced pilots, air crew officers, paramedics, and emergency trauma doctors.

As the only civilian rescue helicopter service in New Zealand to carry whole blood and fly with emergency trauma doctors on board, ARHT provides vital, life-saving care to patients en route to hospitals. With over 1,000 missions per year, the rescue service covers the greater Auckland area, Gulf Islands, and the Coromandel, working around the clock, 365 days a year.
