We are proud to have delivered a new office space for The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) at the Majestic Centre, 100 Willis Street, Wellington, designed to create a connected and collaborative environment for both RACS and three of its surgical societies.

Working in partnership with Australian design specialists Hot Black, the project focuses on bringing diverse teams together through a mix of shared and dedicated spaces. Central to the design is a collaborative kitchen and social hub that encourages interaction, knowledge sharing, and community building across the tenancy. The fit-out also includes a 20-person boardroom, flexible meeting spaces, and a range of work settings that support focused work, team collaboration, and provide a convenient and welcoming base for RACS members to meet and take part in College activities.

Project Information

Sustainability has been an important consideration throughout the project, with selected existing furniture being retained and repurposed where practical. This approach has helped maximise value, reduce waste, and create a seamless blend of existing and new workplace elements.

The project ensured alignment with organisational standards and the successful integration of technology and hybrid meeting capabilities across the workplace. Despite a particularly tight programme, strong planning, collaboration, and proactive project management enabled the team to successfully deliver the fit-out within the required timeframe while maintaining quality and meeting stakeholder expectations.

Through strong collaboration and a shared commitment to workplace excellence, the project is delivering a modern, future-focused environment that enhances the employee experience, supports flexible working, and fosters stronger connections across the wider RACS community.
