Catalyst had the opportunity to design an agile and open zone that would inspire passion and drive for their fast-growing company. To add vibrancy and life to the space, warmer earthier finishes such as reindeer moss and light timbers were chosen, loosely tied back to worldwide sites where possible.
The design features angular walls, feature screens, and ceiling fins, as well as feature lighting and joinery, all strategically placed to create a spirited and agile atmosphere. The fins were angled to provide uninterrupted views of the ocean, while also acting as a visual barrier between public and staff zones, maintaining an open flow.
Despite the challenge of controlling costs, trades, and the construction schedule, Catalyst managed to deliver the project on time and within budget, without sacrificing quality.
This design contrasts with the carbon fiber features of their Sydney and London offices.
