Project Manager - Wellington

Catalyst is a specialist commercial architecture, design and project management company with a highly-respected reputation - delivering design solutions for a number of commercial, government, retail, hospitality and office projects.

Due to an increase in workload, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated, Intermediate Project Manager to work on a variety of commercial projects from the Wellington office. 

Responsibilities in this role will include controlling the design, financial and physical construction aspects of a project to achieve a safe and quality result - according to the client's brief and within time and budget.

The successful applicant will require the following;

  • Minimum 3 years industry experience
  • Tertiary qualification in construction or related trade (ideal)
  • Sound understanding of Project Management disciplines
  • Contract Management exposure
  • PRINCE 2 (ideal)
  • Quantity surveying experience (ideal)
  • Site Safe Gold Card & First Aid Certified (ideal)
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards in NZ
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Great time management skills and driven to meet strict deadlines – results oriented
  • Be self motivated, proactive, use initiative, ability to prioritise, work individually and as part of a team
  • Must have good allround computer skills including MS Office, MS Outlook & Project
