Contracts Manager - Wellington

The successful applicant this Contract Manager role will be overseeing entire projects, including assistance with pricing, tendering and contractor engagement – through to the construction phase. This is a critical role in our Wellington team, and one we are looking to fill as soon as the right person is found - don’t delay in applying for this position. 

Responsibilities include controlling the design, financial and physical construction aspects of a project. You will have proven experience achieving safe and quality results according to the clients brief, within time and budget. 

Maybe you have held a project management role, or have been on the tools for some time and want to grow your contract and relationship management skills. Whatever your background, you’re an expert in building and maintaining relationships. You know the industry. You’re solutions focused, able to communicate with clarity and naturally check for understanding. Further, commercial acumen and continuous improvement are interests of yours that you are committed to developing. 


Skills we seek include;

  • Great time management skills and driven to meet strict deadlines 

  • Strong estimation, to complete build takes offs 

  • Proven budgeting and financial management skills 

  • Stakeholder management experience 

  • Technologically literate; MS Office suite incl. Outlook & Project, Procore and other systems


Strong applicants will demonstrate the following;


  • Minimum 5 years industry experience 

  • Tertiary qualification in construction or related trade 

  • Sound understanding of Project Management methodologies 

  • Contract Management exposure 

  • Site Safe Gold Card & First Aid certified (ideal) 

  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards 

  • Full, clean NZ Drivers Licence
